Trip extra program and info

For those interested:
GSAPP Columbia Lecture Series can be downloaded here, I would recommend the debate on 9/12 about architecture after 9/11
a great exhibit by our dutch friends on the future of New and Old Amsterdam and is on view at the center for architecture till Sept 10th
- on 9/16 SLUM lab Magazine is launching their Fall issue "Last Round ecology" at Van Alan Books (30 W 22nd street) at 7pm, talkin about sustainable living urban models
- do walk by the temporary lab by the BMW-gugenheim  at the Lower East Side or check out your urban qualities here
- a great website on urban living concepts is urbanlifehousing, a research project by the architectural association in 2003
- also in March an interesting symposium is taking place as part of the human Cities festival, save the date!
- the urban design week is taking place in New York from 9/15-20 with loads of interesting hapenings, we'll go see this one "Good Design", but you might enjoy also this one: pavement politics, the 72 hour wokshop and of course the afterparty.
